Gospel singers entertain AARP
WEIRTON – The ARRP Charter 3846 April meeting was called to order by President Joann Bugin.
Virginia Kucan gave the invocation, and members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang “God Bless America.”
Vice President Bettie Williamson introduced gospel singers, who performed as the evening’s entertainment. She also announced Ron Retzer will provide May’s entertainment.
Secretary Barbara Purks and Treasurer Frank Fazio gave their reports, which were accepted.
Sunshine Chair Mary Rose Spano sent get-well cards to Walter Klepadlo, Carol Irvine and John Fields and a sympathy card to the family of Claire French. Celebrating birthdays were Alma Wansack, Grace Lenhart, Eleanor Pritchard, Pat Balser, Virginia Kucan, John Geary and Rena Malson. Patsy Verlast celebrated an anniversary.
Milt Fabianich collected five pairs of eye glasses, and Barb McCoy collecting $11.42 in the penny jar for the Greater Weirton Area Senior Center.

Viola Blanc and Doris Ficca thanked members for putting dinner money in envelopes.
Valeria Adamczyk and Barb Visnic won Undo’s dinners. Barbara Purks and John Fields shared the 50/50 drawing. Nancy Smurda won the quilt, Valeria Adamczyk won the throw and Mary Tyson won the club check. George Kucan, Mary Tyson, Tom Restano, Luella Robinson, Wanda Woodward, Rena Malson, Mildred Vucovich, John Geary, Barb McCoy and Norma Yingst won door prizes.
Virginia Kucan gave the benediction. Joann Bugin wished members a happy Easter and adjourned the meeting.
