Sharlene Jordan-Jeter

JORDAN-JETER, Sharlene, 79, of Wintersville, was born on May 22, 1934, in Mansfield, OH, to the late Felix Jordan Sr. and Sylvia (Woodson) Jordan and passed on Jan. 24, 2014.

She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and worked at Shelby Depo for the United States Government as a key-punch operator.

Sharlene was an excellent cook and could crochet quite well as it reflected throughout their home.

Sharlene was a member of the Greater St. John C.O.G.I.0 under the late Elder John Edward Ward where she played the piano for the Sunshine Band. She was a member of the choir for many years as well as the YWCC, Purity Class and the Busy Bee. She was there from childhood until she married Elder Coyet Jeter Sept. 5, 1959. She then became a member of Emanuel C.O.G.I.C located in Steubenville, OH.

She leaves to cherish in her memory, her loving husband of 54 years, Elder Coyet Jeter Jr., two children, Tim (Darlene) Jeter of Marietta, GA, Resi Jeter of Mansfield, OH; one grandson, Austin Jeter of Wintersville, OH; one sister, Carolyn (Charles) Reed of Mansfield, OH; sisters-in-law, Ethelene Jordan of Warren, OH, Annie Jordan and Shirley Jordan both of Mansfield, OH, and two special life-long friends, Classie (Clemons) Jackson and Earlene (Fowler) Tucker along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Felix Jr., William “Dee Dee” Sr., George “Billy Red” Sr., Elder James, John, and Bishop Walter E. Jordan, and one sister, Gladys Marie Jordan-Burton.

Calling hours at Emanuel COGIC, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at 10 a.m., Wake and 11 a.m. service, with Elder Walter Williams.
