On behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Weirton, the board of directors would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who generously donated to make our 10th-annual Golf Scramble held at Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course on Sept. 1 a great success.

A total of 19 teams participated in this year’s event. The event raised over $15,000 and all proceeds will go toward our After School Nutrition Program and other programs within the club.

Once again, a big thank you to Vince Azzarello for all his hard work in making this tournament a success, and all of our local businesses who donated so generously with door prizes, and finally Mr. Craig Howell, editor of The Weirton Daily Times for his help in always promoting Boys and Girls Club events.
