New Cumberland community prayer walk set for April 27

NEW CUMBERLAND – The God Answers Prayer community prayer walk will be held at 10 a.m. April 27, beginning at Hancock County Savings Bank on Ridge Avenue or the S. Chester Street ball fields, ending at the city gazebo.

Friday Night Mayhem set

WEIRTON – The City Recreation Department and Weirton Little Steelers Football will hold a Friday Night Mayhem from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Millsop Community Center.

Activities include kickball, wiffleball, dodgeball, basketball, movies and a dance. Concessions will be sold. Adult chaperones will be on-site.

Admission is $10. Parents or guardians must sign a permission slip, and all children must by checked in and picked up by the person signing the slip.

Management club to meet

WEIRTON – The Weirton Steel Management Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Giovanni’s Restaurant’s banquet room.

All members and former members are invited to attend. Diner and social will be enjoyed.

Programs to cover financial issues

WELLSBURG – The Brooke County Public Library is offering free financial education events in connection with Money Smart Week April 22-27.

David Garcia, a representative of Hartford Life Insurance and the state Treasurer’s Office, will discuss the SMART529 West Virginia College Savings program at noon Tuesday.

Camp to celebrate Earth Day

HICKORY, Pa. – Camp Agape will hold an Earth Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Retreat Center located at 72 Agape Road.

The event will include preparing and planting Joseph’s Garden, transplanting tulip tree seedlings and planting black walnut trees. Lunch will be provide for participants.
