Chiefs to hold sign-ups
STEUBENVILLE – Indian Creek Chiefs cheering will hold registration for ages 7-12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 3 p.m. April 7 in front of Hibbett Sports. The cost is $30. Each person is to bring a copy their birth certificate.

STEUBENVILLE – The Big Red Boosters Club will meet on Monday at the high school conference following the end of the Big Red-John Marshall baseball game. All are welcome. Memberships are available.
Hunt to speak at FUS
STEUBENVILLE – Lamar Hunt Jr., NFL team owner and son of American sports pioneer Lamar Hunt, will speak at Franciscan University of Steubenville at 2 p.m. Thursday in the International Room of the J.C. Williams Center to give his personal testimony and speak about his conversion to Catholicism.
Hunt Jr. is part of the family of ownership of the Kansas City Chiefs, and of the MLS franchises FC Dallas and The Columbus Crew, as well a minority share of the Chicago Bulls.
His speech, “My Father, My Life. Making Peace”, covers his conversion 20 years ago and how God’s healing helped him work through problems within his family as well as other issues.
Hunt Jr.’s father, Lamar Hunt, was one of the most influential investors in American professional athletics, starting with his founding of the American Football League and the Kansas City Chiefs in 1959. Hunt Sr. was a critical part of the merger between the AFL and the NFL and coined the phrase “Super Bowl” in 1966.
Youth football to hold sign-ups
WEIRTON – The Weirton Steelers will hold sign-ups from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13, 14, 20 and 21 at the Millsop Community Center. The cost is $65 for one child, $125 for two children in the same family and $200 with three or more children.
