4-H Overnighter set for Jan. 26

A Jefferson County 4-H Overnighter will be held Jan. 25. The event starts at 11 p.m. and continues until Jan. 26 at 6 a.m. at the Millsop Community Center.

The overnighter is for 4-H youth from age 9 through 18. The cost is $10 for the first 4-H member attending and $5 for any other 4-H member of the same family. There is a $5 fee for each adult registration. A $5 late fee will be added to registration fees for anyone registering after the Jan. 18 due date. No late registrations or money will be taken after Jan. 23 or at the door.

Activities will include basketball, racquetball, swimming, volleyball and movies.

Cloverbud camp on the calendar

A Winter Cloverbud Camp will be held at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 9.

The cost is $5 per Cloverbud which includes camp photo, snack, crafts and activities.

The registration deadline is Feb. 1.

J-Fit Winter Carnival, dance set

A J-Fit Winter Carnival and Valentine’s Dance will be held Feb. 9 at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School beginning at 4 p.m.

The first clinic at 4 p.m. will involve first aid, photography and EcoBots. There will be hot topics for parents as well, according to a news release.

At 6 p.m., there will be officers training, with officers attending for training in their club position, and new volunteer training will be held. There will be quality assurance training at 6:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., there will be a dance. Four-H members are permitted to bring one friend to the dance.

Snacks and drinks will be sold during the event. Pizza, provided by the still project subcommittee, will be ordered and delivered around 7 p.m.
